These terms explain what Huursterk provides, which responsibilities sit with users and employers, and where the boundaries of our service lie.

1. Definitions

"Huursterk" refers to Huursterk's services, website and platform
"User" refers to any individual accessing or using the platform
"Employer" refers to organisations that contract Huursterk for their employees
"Employee" refers to the person using the Housing Security Check, check-in or guidance
"Housing Security Check" refers to the periodic check Huursterk uses to surface housing stress early
"Confidential check-in" refers to a confidential conversation with rental-law interpretation
"Preventive guidance" refers to targeted guidance when an employee needs more than a one-off check-in

2. Service description

Huursterk provides a preventive provision for employers: a periodic Housing Security Check, confidential check-ins and preventive guidance for employees in the Dutch private rental market. Our service is informational and educational in nature. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal representation.

3. User obligations

Provide accurate and complete information in the Housing Security Check
Use the service for legitimate, personal purposes only
Do not share login credentials or assessment links with others
Respect intellectual property and confidentiality of our materials

4. Agreements with employers

Employers contract Huursterk through separate agreements. These terms supplement those agreements but do not replace them. The employer remains responsible for careful communication to employees and for its own employment law, privacy and governance obligations.

5. Limitations of service

Our support is based on practice experience, Dutch tenancy law and general best practices. Every situation remains context-specific: we provide interpretation, direction and preventive guidance, not outcome guarantees. Huursterk is not a law firm and does not provide litigation representation.

6. Intellectual property

All content, methodologies and materials on our platform are owned by Huursterk. Users may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without written permission.

7. Liability

Huursterk is not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages. Total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question. This does not affect statutory rights that cannot be limited.

8. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Groningen, the Netherlands.
